How do you make an AI voice sound natural?

In short
Fix the script before the settings: one idea per sentence, punctuation where a breath goes, numbers written the way they should be heard, and names in the pronunciation dictionary. Then choose a voice whose accent and pace match the material, slow it slightly, and re-render individual lines rather than accepting the first pass.
In the order that helps most
- Shorten the sentences. Two clauses is the limit before the phrasing collapses.
- Punctuate for breath, not for grammar: a comma is a beat, a full stop is a breath, a blank line is a rest.
- Write numbers as heard - "twenty twenty-six", "one nine hundred" - because a digit string is a guess.
- Dictionary the names once, on the workspace, so every future render inherits it.
- Slow it 5-10%. Almost every default is a little fast for narration.
- Re-render the two lines that bother you rather than the whole script.
If it still sounds wrong after that, the voice is wrong for the material rather than badly configured - audition two others on the same hard paragraph.
