What does an hour of AI voice-over cost?

In short
It depends whether you are billed for characters or minutes. Naadly meters minutes: $15 a month buys 6,000 minutes, and standard-language speech is uncapped on $39. Per-character services work out at roughly 55,000-60,000 characters per finished hour, which is the conversion to do before comparing anything.
How to compare the two billing models
Finished audio runs at roughly 150 words a minute, and English averages about six characters a word including spaces, so an hour of narration is around 55,000-60,000 characters. Divide any per-character allowance by that to get hours, then compare.
Two costs the arithmetic hides. Retries: on per-character billing every re-render of a line spends allowance again, and a first pass is rarely the one you ship. And overage: some services stop, some charge, and the rate they charge is usually worse than the plan rate.
Naadly meters the minutes of audio produced, so a line re-rendered eleven times costs eleven times a few seconds - which is why the free tier can be a real one.
