What should a receipt include?

Receipt number, date, amount received, payment mode (UPI/bank/cash), reference or transaction ID, and who issued it — all fields are in the generator.

Is a receipt the same as an invoice?

No — an invoice asks for payment, a receipt confirms payment received. Many businesses send both; Naadly does either from the same editor.
